I know you're interested in visualising music, so here's an attempt I made at visualising Piano Phase. The trickiest part was getting the in-between stage to work, and it's a bit more mechanical than a human performance, but I think it shows well enough what's going on.
That's a very nice visualisation, Gary. I've not conceptualised the piece that way before. I tend to think of it as the score or a live performance with two pianists. To have it play as two step sequencers is original. Good work, thanks for sharing it.
This is great! So glad you reposted it. I missed it the first time. To Tyler’s comment, I’ll add that if Reich’s use of trains makes him Blues, it also makes him country! Which I guess is really to say universal.
Very interesting. Thanks for the insights. I thought you were going to throw in Muddy Water's Two Trains Running in there too.
Thanks Tyler. Yes, that's another good example!

Thanks so much Jeff!
Oh great and human máster Steve Reich... Thanks for the reading! :D
Thanks Paco!
I learned so much reading this. Truly fascinating and deeply resonant questions.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Thea.
