Wow, what a texture! This is very much the "vertical" music that I've been writing about (https://substack.com/home/post/p-141322950?source=queue) and it definitely has a cinematic quality. Dom I didn't know you're in Spain.... I may be touring there later this year, if so, perhaps there's a chance to meet in person! Congrats on the release...hopefully your subscribers are going to hear more tracks?

That's exactly it, it's vertical: a column of tones. And the timing of them is like a trapezium. The article you have written is great. I love the anecdote about Philip Glass. It would be great to meet in Spain if you come this way. With two under 3s I'm rooted in Valencia for now - do you know if you'll be passing this way? There's Berklee here if you want to do a concert or masterclass. And yes, I'll share the album here, hopefully in early March.

So far Valencia is not on the list of cities but that may change. The promoter should be firming things up next month. Looking forward to hearing the whole album! Played the track for a student yesterday as an example of vertical music .

Oh wow, I'm honoured. If they're looking for venues Jimmy Glass Jazz Bar is a good club, depending on the size of the group and your expectations about the audience size.

Magnificent! This has the full force and beauty of a natural phenomenon like a wave or a storm - but benign with no threat. Great width of sound

Thank you! I hadn't thought of a storm or wave, but yes, I can sense that feeling in it.

Amazing sound. Takes me more to a woods than Arrakis which is surprising as I'm a lifelong Dune fan. I guess Klepacki and Okahara's soundtrack to Dune II is pretty deeply cemented into my brain from childhood (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WKBjmJCBHw). When's the album coming out?

In terms of the date. I haven't finalised it yet, as I just want to master it again, as I can hear a subtle fluttering at a point in this mix, but definitely March.

Thanks so much, Tim. Interesting all the things it's evoking: Valencia's City of Arts and Science, storm or waves, and the woods. I like the fact it's coming through as naturalistic rather than synthetic. That game was my first contact with Dune, though I have to confess to not remembering the soundtrack!
